Guess what? That picture is one of my homeland. Yup! I was born by the ocean. My passion is equity, not equality (there's a difference). I advocated for this as an educator, I continue to advocate for it as a person with a chronic illness, and as a mother. My mission is to create awareness of issues close to my heart that affect my family and me, educate those I come in contact with, and navigate this life spreading positivity daily. As my mother always told me, "And this too shall pass". I've never seen a storm last forever so I know she's right.
